Who We Are.
"We are off, but we're going anyway..."
Our story began with a diagnosis. In 2012, my mother was diagnosed with Early Onset Adult Alzheimer's disease, she was in her mid fifties. Although this saddened the family and left us feeling helpless, it got me thinking. What would be the best way to honor her memory? After many hours of prayer and dialogue with family and friends, I really felt it on my heart to start a woodworking company and name it for my mother. I wasn't a serious woodworker, but I knew in my heart that I needed to do this. I knew it was right.
Camille Woodworking was born in late 2012 in a garage in Columbus, Ohio and quickly became a way to tangibly create things as my mother began to slowly began to loose her memory.
Sadly, we lost Mom in June 2017 to her illness. But we know that she is constantly by our side, encouraging, loving and giggling with the dry and subtle wit that she possessed.
We are also passionate about trees. We do our best to ensure that our products are sustainable and that they are not logged but are trees that needed to be removed. Trees remind us of mom, with her strength, her beauty and her spirit.
We are passionate about community and relationships. So please, won't you cultivate a relationship with us?
